Did you register your nexland? I received a letter from symantec with my access code to the "transitional nexland product page"

You get there and you have free 90 days support - including downloads. After that, you pay $48/year for Gold Support - the only level they offer.

They're a software company - they are used to licensing to supplement 'off the shelf' sales
anything is possible - nothing is free

Thats the same exact reason I'm looking for new firmware! It seems that I have to reset the router just to begin surfing the internet after waking up, and then again later. Whats going on :(

Found firmware!

Post by KuRe »

After some searching on various forums, I have found that the Nexland FTP site is still up. If you want your firmware, download it quick, before it goes down.

ftp://ftp.nexland.com/pub/firmware/

I also believe that a person has put the firmware on his site also.

Hope this helps!

It's tough to image Symantec will not further support Nexlands routers after the buyout.

I'll see if I can find out.

Thanks I now recognize the one I have currently is 5y

I see there is one more for soho, the 6N, but it does not say what it fixes. Not sure if it will make things worst or better

Let me know if you find out anymore info

thanks
