New Intel Build
Well I'm gonna take plunge. I've never owned anything in the last 5 years but AMD. Since Intel's processor prices have dropped I figured I'd go for it. I was reading in several places and doing my homework and I've found that the P4 2.8 Gig w/ 800 fsb will give the most bang for your buck. My question is what motherboard to get? Ive been considering the ABIT IC7-G Has anyone purchased this board yet? Is the Intel 875 a good chipset? Is there a good ASUS board of the same caliber. It must have SATA RAID.

Interesting, what made you choose it over the ASUS P4C800?

So I'm asking for some experience here. Abit IC7-G or ASUS P4C800 ? The price makes no difference. I want a kickass board that has minimal issues. Also, will the stock HSF be adequate that comes with the retail package processor? I will not be overclocking. Well, maybe a little. LOL
