p2p problems

Post by darkreign »

my isp blocked/capped p2p programs and i only get very low rates like 6-7kb/s. I'm on adsl 640/128. Any ideas on how i can bypass that? Like proxy and stuff? i tried a couple of times with no luck.
Stuff like audiogalaxy, bittorrent(sometimes) work.
thanks in advance

Looks like your ISP is using traffic shaping to limit your download speed from some P2P programs. I use Socks2Http (http://www.totalrc.net/s2h) which is a service that redirects any port to HTTP which obviously your ISP doesnt choke. You will have to pay a monthly fee though but its not that much. Other than that there is no way to go over it.
