Lunar eclipse this week...

Post by Indy »

http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/space/05/1 ... index.html

For those interested in celestial events, there will be a lunar eclipse on Thursday evening, 11:13 eastern daylight time....

If you've never seen one, they're a pretty cool thing to see :)

"Eclipses once helped prove the Earth is round, because its shadow on the moon is curved. "
:p

Does anyone know if any of the planets will be visible at this time? I know last time I saw a lunar eclipse you could see Saturn near by.
Thanks

If I get any good ones. I don't have any experience with this scope. I might play a little tonight to practice...

Yep...Saturn and Jupiter.....
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

This is the first one visible in North America in 3 years. There is another one later this year too. :)
