I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.

Search this forum for LCD threads, we had a ton of them over the past 6-9 months. To sum it up, Hitatchi's model that Nepenthe listed above, and Planar’s PX171M 17 Inch, are the only I've read with a 16ms total response time. Those are the fastest out there right now.

Don't compare LCD's like you do CRT's with their refresh rates mHz and pixel size....LCD's are totally different. The key to smooth motion on LCD's is "response times".

Most of the others out there that have been made in the past year at 25ms models, which are pretty decent for gaming all but the most discriminating. I have Viewsonics VX800 which is their high end 18 incher, it's a 25ms model, got it before the 16ms models came out. It's pretty good, better than other makers 25ms models I played with, but I think shortly I'll be getting a Hitatchi also. I haven't see a Planar in person yet, I associate them too much with being sold through Tiger Direct catalogs...so I'm wary.
