That completely slipped by me... Then try the following:

GlobalMaxTcpWindoSize - 32120
DefaultRecvWindow - 32120
DefaultTOS - 127
Tcp1323Opts - 0
MaxDupAcks - 2

Sorry about that- Thanx for pointing that out mccoffee

Try these values:

GlobalMaxTcpWindoSize - leave blank
DefaultRecvWindow - leave blank
DefaultTOS - 127
Tcp1323Opts - 1

Try speed testing using FTP / HTTP Speed Test and let me know what results you get :)

The problem is in your routing table... Try resetting your table by clearing whats cached in there.... Restart your modem, and voila!!

Hope this helps =)

its probably a transparent proxy... contact your isp and ask them if they had one installed- chances are the analyzer is picking up the MTU of the proxy server and not yours :( Sorry... wish I could have helped more- and excuse this mess,,,,

Its time for some registry editing... just like I noted earlier-

Run Regedit

Search for MTU first and if you see any values of 1472 change those to 1492

then try searching for PPPoE and do the same

If you couldn't find anything.... then search for the number 1472 but make sure that the ...

As in an Untweaked PC... You're such a cry baby,,, Still can't read ay- If the gaming server was overseas and you configured cablenut for nationwide access then you are going to have problems.... A lag and a drop in performance...

I have nothing more to say to you... So leave it to that

Oh yeah- Almost forgot.... Cablenut isn't always perfect and people on here could atest to that.

Furthermore, it's called cablenut originally designed for cable connections- some values in there could have adverse effects on DSL connections

Oh yeah almost forgot- Try to delete all your cablenut tweaks and reset your MTU to nil (blank space)... let XP or Windows 2000 handle the TCP stack without any mods...

It worked for some gaming servers..

Post your results after doing that- But please backup your settings before doing so ...

FYI

There are still some ISP's out there that have blocked ICMP due to the Blaster worm... Check to see if the gaming server is hosted nationally or internationally | If internationally, the chances are you're pings are timing out due to blockage of the ICMP protocol.

Now- as far as tweaking you ...

What if it was PPPoA? Do I use 1480 as per the analyzer test ** Shows also that I am behind a proxy server ** or 1492 and ignore the fact that the analyzer is picking up the settings of the proxy server and not my PC?

I know PPPoA uses 1492... Any recommendations?

Try using SuperSpeed's Ramdisk... Excellent choice, configurable and is very stable.

I tried to implement the network with ramdisk idea- But had problems with DHCP,,, and it slows up your boot process. Anywayz, try giving SuperSpeed a shot- You'll like it...

Let me know if you need it ;)
