hello mr. steele. i just upgrade my connection to cable and i need new setting for my upload 1.5 adn dl is 256. my isp is comcast and my os is winxp w/ 1 gig of ram. here is my result with the analyzer:

mustang girl. what is the firmware version of your dsl1000 modem. when you call them for replacement did you specify to those people at tier 3 thatthey have to configure the mtu properly. coz that is what i told them to be sure that the mtu is set for winxp. you have to check back with them about ...

well actually msn send me a new modem (dsl 1000) i just told them that the problem with the old modem is that the mtu is set to 1490. the tech said that they will try to configure the modem with the proper mtu. so for those people who have dsl 800 they have to wait in the middle of jan to update the ...

I did work for me. When you edit or change your registry make sure thar you reboot before you start browsing. setting won't take effect until you reboot. :D

Mr. steele, so what do you think of the speed i'm getting, is this ok or i need to make some more adjustment. i think i'm just getting 80% of the cap speed. is it possible to get it up to 90%.

here is the result (after applying the setting in cablenut) i also did the #2 procedure you requested ( unchecking the proxy server) it seems there is no change to the speed :rolleyes:

i'm not using a router and it's a direct hooked up to the phoneline with dsl filter. tried to use with or with out filters still the same.
model of dsl modem is arescom netdsl 800. check with firmwareupdate no update is available :(
