No, just use the driver that comes with the card. You dont want to start mixing that stuff up. Why would you want to try a different driver? I mean, if they wanted you to use other ones, wouldnt they have included those too?

Yes, it is possible for a shared IRQ to slowdown a device. Really, you have to experiment. Change the IRQ setting by moving the card to a different PCI slot. Test the card on each slot to see which one will give you the best performane (If it's shared with another IRQ). Of course, if you find a slot ...

You cant always assign IRQ's yourself. Sometimes you'll just mess things up more. Usually it might not allow you to modify it, sometimes it does, but you might create some problems with sharing and conflicting on another device that you are unaware of. I tried this so many times with lots of devices ...

Reboot the computer and it works absolutely beautiful. If you want, you can use the new card they came out ...

Second, I read an article that was posted somewhere on this forum (but can't remember where) that compared different NIC cards. The one that came out on ...

The Chello service is extremely nice. It's always up, rarely could I recall when it was ever down, and speeds are very fast. In Hollandall the wires are underground, so it isn't as cluttered as the poles, and there are less people per node, so that really helps alot. And yes, they just merged with ...
