New system, any tweaks necessary? My internet provider is still the same (Comcast) -- My maximum download speed is supposedly 1.5MB/s. Occasionally it would exceed that speed up to 2MB/s.

Requesting for a checkup on my internet settings, I've kept my computer clean and secure these past months and it seems like my speeds are going downhill, I've done a modem/router reset and such with proper placements, spyware/malware/virus scans, etc. here's my analyzer results:

Sorry, I didn't literally mean that it's a very old system, only because in comparison to friend's computers, mine seems very ancient. But yes, it should support it. I have a mobo that supports some of the old, and some of the new parts :) I bought it cheap on a small budget upgrade a few years ago ...

I have a very old system, my current HD uses a IDE cable, I don't remember whether it's a 5400 or 7200 RPM. And it's only 80GB, I download a lot of movies, songs/albums, and I guess you could say games too.
I'm thinking about buying this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item ...

My computer would load up all the way til it shows my desktop wallpaper ONLY. I timed it once, it takes just about a full minute before it begins loading everything else (taskbar, desktop icons, startup programs, etc). A minute may ...

New hijack log, new problem :(
Hi, I posted a hijack log of my computer not too long ago, maybe just a month, but I've come across a problem that has been going on for a couple weeks now. I get a -very- slow start up. I'm not sure if it's called slow bootup, but it's the screen after you sign in on windows login. (I have mine on ...

Any tweaks for my setup? :O
I have Comcast cable internet. Windows XP. I'm not sure what the advertised speeds are. But my speed tests on speakeasy:
Seattle, WA: 17000 kbps ~ 20000 kpbs and upload: 5000 kpbs ~ 6000 kbps
Chicago, IL: 10000 ~ 15000 and upload 1500 ~ 2000
NYC, NY: 10000 and upload 1200-1500
By default, I think ...
