My hijack log

Post by nodeuce »

Currently, I have a problems with loading a few websites (could be more) but they are: http://www.eset.com and http://www.malwarebytes.org/. When I tried installing windows recovery console, it couldn't retrieve updates from the host. Same goes for getting updates for ad-aware2008 and super antispyware, I have no firewall and they used to work.. it wasn't until I uninstalled AVG8 Free for nod32. There was also a problem with downloading avg_remover from the site, I had to have a friend download and send it to me, the sites I mentioned above have a message saying "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again." I have full functioning internet.. no firewall except for windows firewall, even with it off.. it doesn't work.

Also, system drive D: is my main drive, when I try double clicking it, it says:
Windows cannot find 'resycled\boot.com'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search.

I have to manually type D: in my windows explorer address bar to access the drive. Nod32 actually has that file in quarantine. I would do a system restore.. but it seems like after installing nod32, it wiped out all my restore points. When I tried opening combofix, it caused a few beeps from my computer.

Your infected with the "auto run virus".

You need to manually update Malwarebytes' Antimalware from HERE (near the bottom of the page) then do a FULL system scan.

Then manually update SUPERAnti-Spyware from HERE and do a FULL system scan.

:)

Thanks mnosteele52, I can update my ad-aware2008/anti spyware and can also go to those sites again :)

I still have a problem where I can't double click my D: drive in My Computer, it still says: "Windows cannot find 'resycled\boot.com'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search."

It's not much of a hassle, but I have to type D:\ in my windows explorer address bar to access that drive. There's a file in nod32's quarantine:
12/23/2008 - D:\resycled\boot.com - 31232 - a variant of Win32/Kryptik.DL trojan
