im just wondering why can't i connect to the internet when i unplug from the router then connect directly to the dsl modem ??? ... when i try to connect on enternet . it says failed on create device ntsppp3 ... i did this because i wanna test if the router is the cause of me having a slow connection ...

hi do u think updating the firmware for the router will do any good , in terms of downloading speed ???

hello guys its me again ... im new to this tweaking stuff on dsl i just want to boost up my download speed to around 50k or so ... anyways i installed the speedpatch and tried the tcp tester ... it gave me :

TCP options string = 020405780103030201010402

MTU = 1440
MTU is not fully optimized for ...

another thing is we have enternet 300 installed here
and i tried changing the values of mtu on regedit but the tcp test still gave me

and yes i had pppoe at one time ... and where can i find ...

by the way i got a netgear router too if that makes any difference ... and i only download stuffs when im only the one using the internet ...
