One other thing; most times than not, when I exit IE 5, it gives me an error box that the program has caused a fault.......etc.

Sometimes I can clear this box and go on, but sometimes I have to reboot to clear the box. This seems to happen more If I close IE while it is in the middle of loading a ...

This & That

I am running a PII 233 with 32 mb ram and Windows 95. I have a 6.4 GB hard drive partitioned into 3 drives (c,d,e - came this way from Dell).

My new cable modem works pretty good, but I notice my hardrive is really getting a workout. It seems like it is constantly accessing.

Is this normal and is ...

Finally heard back from CommuniComm (my cable provider) They say I am pretty much screwed when it comes to "Napster type sites". They are extremely limiting bandwidth to such sites because users were bogging down the system.

Anybody know a way around this?

P.S. Thanks for the responses ...

First of all, thanks to the many who tried to help me with this problem. My cable provider is CommuniComm and after several days wait, I finally got an answer from them.

They stated they limit their available bandwidth for "Napster type sites", so if the bandwith is taken up you cannot download or ...

O.K., I'm probably missing something, but last night for example, I tried downloading 15 different songs from different users and different connections (cable, 56k etc.)

None would download over 1k. I got off the cable modem and tried some of the same users with my 56K modem and got speeds of 28.8k ...

Cable & Napster

New to the cable modem world and looking for help with Napster. Since installing the cable modem, web pages, misc. downloads and email all load noticeably faster. The only thing that does not (actually got very much slower) is Napster downloads. I have changed my Napster setting to "cable", looked ...

Thanks for the help. The thing that has me puzzled is that I do select cable to cable connections, look for a user who is not uploading/downloading anything else and even look for a favorable ping rate, but nothing helps. I have tried multiple users from different areas and that didn't help.
