I did receive the disks with the laptop, but the only thing that confuses me is the drivers, aren't they mass driver disks for a broad amount of systems? I just don't want to install drivers that I won't need. (if it works like that)

Got a new router

I'm runnin XP, with a Netgear router, and Norton Internet Security, I turned of the Security then did the test. What do ya think, I'm on Suddenlink's 1mb download speed, 256/kb. I'm barely getting half that, should I take away the router, and test it again?

What the heck can I do about this? I'm running a wireless connection with my PS3, I've got a 100% connection all the time, UPnP is available, so I know all the ports are being opened on my router. I've done a speedtest for my computer and it reads that I can download from their (my ISP) servers at ...

I have seen some tracerts that never did complete because the signal got caught in a loop, due to problems in some intermediate routers.

I did it again, and it said a maxium over 30 hops, stopped on 14 and said trace complete.

I'm in the US, and I'm not sure what the speed they are supposed to give me is, (is there a place to check?) I've done a speed test with Suddenlink (my ISP) and it is roughly around 125-130 kb/sec.
