Question for DSL users

How does DSL work as far as setting up your browser? I have cable, my father just got DSL. His is not working. He says that the phone company can see his modem but they said they cant see any signal when he trys to surf around. Sounds like he got the network card installed correctly.

Dont be too surprised if installing dialup adapter does NOT fix your problem. But its worth a shot. It fixed my system but mine is behaving strangely.

Activity light blinking like mad

Hi, I searched this topic and found lots of replies, but with no difinitive answers.

My Light used to NOT blink. Last night I moved NICS around now the activity light is on and WONT STOP BLINKING. aaaarg!

Hi glc1, Im using win98se. I did try mtupatch98. And got a great increase for downloads. went from just over 1 mbits to over 2 mbits! My upload, increased form 30Kb to 60Kb. Still much slower than if I upload using one of the other machines.
