i have recently installed xp and am using sp2

in prog files i found a folder called "xerox" with a folder called "nwwia" inside

this appears empty and is read only but if i try and delete it wont allow me to

anyone know wot this folder is?

the rrigs well old now but i'm sure it supports larger drives (got 20g atm) speed doesnt bother me cos the new drive will go towards a new setup eventually, then i can relegate the old comp to an ftp

ok this may sound likje a silly question but one thats puzzling me

i have an old sys with asus k7v mobo on it, my hd is near to full and i want to add another 1, the mobo only supports ata 33/66 so can i buy a hd 100/133 and expect it to work ? i k i will not get them speeds but my idea is to take ...

yeah caution is warranted but i'm sure things will come up to speed quicker than u realise

tbh i thinking of hl2 and buying summat that will make run good but i dont really dont wanna go intel or buy an outgoing proc

maybe one day legacy wil be gone and devs will raise the standards, bout time ...

i always used za but i play new game (myth of soma) and it starts playin up
ie. shutin it self down
comp freezes, get disconned etc
is there a patch to fix it?

btw i heard about outpost, is it worth a go?
because i like the new features on za (adblocking etc)

i'm using TDS trojie scanner.i scan with the option to look for ntfs ads hidden streams and it found 4 alarms in q3\readme131.html. what exactly is this and is there a need to be concerned?

ok guys 2 hds a burner and cd rom.
is it better to have the hds on same eide or mix em cos i heard if you have both cds on same eide it messes up our burning

thats what gpo is all about makin local group policies with custom settings, for example disabling startup memu items etc. its always best to make your own OUs, an groups within with your polices
i agree 32 comps then dchp is a must, just thought you wanted to experiment with w2k

pnot really sure what you mean, is it that you cant get online at all or just cant use your software?
check ips, u may need to forward some ports for icq etc
try looking at the manual for the pro here it may help

just got adsl router/modem i need some advice on setup before i start tinkering
i want to connect 2 systems to it sharing the net one as a w2k server the other w2k wstation but im geting confused with dns settings etc
scenarios:

1) leave router dhcp on and let machines pick up ips automatically ...

hi Eddiec, it was a hardware prob
i got a router/modem and hooked the nics up to this it turned out that the nic that was showing no probs (3com) had a faulty rj45 port so the other nic was showing disconned
i feel rather silly now lol......oh well u live and learn

i tryed that (ipconfig for w2k) everything is as i think it should look
if i ping 127.0.0.1 thats loopback mnethinks and it works so the nic should be ok
the thing i'm not getting is why it says cable disconnected and doesn't show my ip settings
has ne1 got this card ...

yes Eddiec ms network client is ticked under both Lan connecction porperties
i'm using IPs 192.168.10.10 & 192.168.10.11 that ok?

i have purchased the LNE10/100tx-v4 nic and followed all installation instructions.
the card shows up in device manager and there are no conflicts etc
when i assign an ip address and use ipconfig/all to see the pinformation it says media state "cable disconnected"

i tried with notepad and recovered quite alot of text then i managed to get hold of 'Easy recovery file repair' from Ontrack and this rescued about 75% of the doc

from now on i'm making sure word backs my docs up, i always seem to learn the hard way....lol

i saved my finished word doc to floppy, left the house to get ink refill (dam printer) then came back rebooted and tried to reopen said doc to print it off
then wtf it says wrong path doc not accessable
i checked folder permissions etc
i also have other docs on this floppy and they all ok ...

weird you can connect and have same pr but get booted after 2 mins
do you both have a cd in the drive because you both need cd for mp?
on single player cd is not required with latest prs

walking? don't u set always run on and just tap forward when trying to be stealthy
