So, what's the deal with all that? I mean, is there a market for geckos or does someone just want one real bad? I just don't understand stealing a pet.

I just loaded it up and have only had 2 days using it on the side. I like the reports of how many trackers and ads have been blocked. I need to spend a little more time with it and make sure I understand what's going on under the hood. I loaded up Ghostery but I'm not quite sure I still need it ...

It's a shame but it looks like "timing" the memory and SSD market is going to be like "timing" the stock market. You try to get a good deal and buy at a low price and then continue to see it go lower and lower.

Wow, a Ryzen 9 with 64mb of Ram and a 2tb & 4tb M.2 is around $2k. Yikes! It's a good thing I'm not considering a new gaming GPU.
Even 64gp of DDR4 PC3200 Ram is $489. How does anyone afford a pro level build without taking out a loan?

DDR4 is not going as crazy as the DDR5 modules. 32gb of DDR5 is over $400. Yikes? I don't know how someone can justify 64GB of DDR5 for their rig, we're talking in the $750 range.

They're all external. One will kept here at home, another will be at a friends. I will update and copy any new info to them via a new docking station I plan on purchasing. I need to buy 2 spinners. Both will be for long-term storage and accessed about once or twice a year (1 will be for off-site). I have a separate HDD docked to my rig for more immediate backups.

I was talking to my brother the other day and he was mentioning something about a relative of ours that had suggested he put some of his new found inheritance money (back in 2017) into Crypto. Both he and I invest in more traditional ways and this was something that would never be considered. Well ...

Well, this CM looks like a bit of a dud. If you're looking for a deal on a SSD or Memory forget it. It's a bit of a shame because I live pretty close to a Micro Center and if there is any particular deal it's not really that big of a deal to get over there.

The way that prices on Memory and SSD have exploded I really don't see this being that great of a year for any "deals". Newegg has these for $133.49 and that's about the lowest I've seen them in a long while. They usually seem to drift between $169 / $159 / $149. I don't think they were this low even during the last black Friday sales.
