321 down, 89 up. What are you people doing to have those speeds on cable? Mediacom, who I'm with, is still using ISPchannel servers. I wish DSL would hurry and get out here.

He said they Mediacom is still waiting on Bellsouth to install the lines and then we should see a increase in speed. Sounds like he was wanting to blame Bellsouth. Well I have talked to them yet again this week. This is the latest they have told me. The packages are being sent out to the Mobile customers this friday. I know that I am capped at 500kbps but have not gone over 175 in the last three months. Is there a way to tell if you have been capped besides calling the cable company? Thanks.

Actually Preston Connors, that gives me a idea. I wonder how hard it would be to get some type of legislation to restrict cable companies from advertising high speed/broadband internet if they don't provide certain speeds. Same response from Mediacrap here too. I'm not putting to much faith in them getting the customers good speeds even when they do upgrade. I max out now at 160kbps but have been down to 40kbps. ISPchannel in Alabama. $39.95 for 30kb/s down with roughly 70-90 port probes an hour from the server. Sorry, had to warn people.
