There are a couple things we need to know before we can help you.

1. Is your connection Cable or DSL?

2 Copy and Paste your resullts from http://www.speedguide.net/analyzer.php

3. Are you using a Router, if so what type?

Are you giving out your password to those in the neighborhood? the only connections on your router should be your own 2 computers.

First of all, you should lock your router into the mac addresses of your own 2 computers, no reason to share your connection with the world.. anyone within about 1/4 mile. could be stealing your bandwidth. Second what speedtest did you test with. most of them are very inaccurate. Try one from http ...

Cablenut settings for a 15/2 connection please.

Would anyone here have any idea what cablenut settings to use for my brand new 15/2 cable connection. Here's my TCP Analyzer results.

TCP options string = 020405b40103030301010402

You do realize that there are very few testing sites that can accurately measure download rates for a 10 Meg connection. You'll overload most of them. Only ones i've found that cam are the Speakeasy sites and the Myspeed bandwidth test.

Keep most of the settings the same, however Try an RWIN of 188760. And turn on window scaling. then run a couple speed tests.

FRom what the OP is describing with service being down for 5 days I'd say his problem is that his modem's provision file was corrupted. He should call Charter, have them reprovision him to the right speed. If that doesn't work, buy a new modem, and have them provision that one. Wait I just saw you ...

You should set your RWIN to 17520. 64000 is way too high for your connection speed. Other than that you'll be fine.

I changed the Connection Kbps to 6000 to simulate max 56K connection.

Your thinking is wrong 56k is not equal to 6000k. 56k can recieve 56,000 bits per second where 6000K can recieve 6,000,000 bits per second. or in other words 56k is capable of downloading at 7 KiloBytes per second, where 6000k ...

Only thing I would do different is to turn Timestamps off, they're only needed in High latency Applications such as satellite internet.

Got news for you all, You can't tweak Upload speed. There are only 2 possible way to increase your upload speed. First is to subscribe to Roadrunner premium if you live in an area that offers it. which has speeds of 8/512 (1000K down/64K up) Or if you're lucky enough to live in the Tampa Florida ...

Those settings are about right. One thing to do is make sure you set the Latency in Preferences to your expected maximum latency. That will cause the slider bar to calculate based on expected latency. Default is 200ms.

This may sound strange but check the settings on your nic Card and make sure it's set to the maximum Full duplex. 100m (or 1000m if gigabit) if it's at 10m that could be restricting you.
