If you want to hook up both your PC and lapop to the Internet at the same time, you will need:

- a NIC (Network Interface Card) in your PC.

- a router.

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS ...

Whoa, I had the same problem, turns out it was a corrupted stick of RAM....test them all....if you only have one stick then it's going to cost you

There are cards that a very low profile...usually the budget cards, but it would help all that much unless you mod the piece of metal on the back end ...

I believe it's the opposite, I just checked out those card and they have a blue anodized heatsink on the GPU and no RAM sinks... Even the Voodoo3 and TNT2 cards came with heatsinks on them...

Ya, like mikemean said, if it has on-board video then it'll work, if not you can buy an 8MB PCI video card for 5$. I'm curious as to what your approach or plan is to make the buttons from your VCR work as the interface... sounds interesting...

Here's a tip; remove the cover from your case as well as the temperature monitors. Tightly place ONE piece of masking tape over the outside of the cover and rest it on your work desk with the tape side touching the desk. Fill in the crooked hole with epoxy glue and let it FULLY dry, usually 24 hours ...
