Hi there
my isp is shapping torrent traffic alot, I have to use torrents to download linux distribution every now and then. so i am wondering if i use a fast proxy(paid) will i get over the problem?.

has anyone ever done similar things?. any success?

No they havnt upgraded to adsl2 or anything.my router is dlink dsl504g. its just that there is a les load on from this isp

Hi
I currently have 2 computers connected to my router DSL-504G. 1 of them is me and other person is the internet bandwidth eater. Is there anyway to restrict this?. I know i can install netlimiter into his, but i want something running from my pc or the router itself.

Do the TCP Analyzer again and post. Let's see if your MTU has increased. Also do the nitro test to check your round trip time for off peak time.

usually I leave my MSN on and leave my torrentclient on over night, from last few days i have noticed that when i wake up in the morning, I see the MSN messanger signed off and torrents have stopped downloading. also the sending and receiving of bytes have stopped. why would this be happning.

Depends what modem/router u hav and also which country u live in. nowadayz it is almost impossible uncapping, even if u uncap urself chances are in nxt few dayz u will get a ring from ur isp telling u that they hav d/c u and bla bla take u to court

hmm i'm not sure but that's odd that your provider only supports dlink hmm take a tcpip analyzer test cut and paste everthing in a new reply i might be able to help you out more


with port forwarding do you play games or use p2p alot that's the only time that opening ports may speed you up ...

Hi
I want to use TCP Optimizer but my adapter is not listed there. i use wireless modem which is connected to my pc via usb. iam currently on a wireless internet provider called woosh. is there anyway i could use the TCp Optimizer and also will any of these registry tweaks work for me?

I have P3 701 MHZ with asus motherboard. I want to overclock it. is it possible. I know this is possible by fiddling around with fsb in my bios setup, but there is no such thing as fsb in the setup not even in the user manual of the motherboard.
