most 'speed' test i run [when little or no congestion] [i have already run the traces and given to my ISP ref. congestion] runs up to near 1280kbps on the dload and 128 on the up.............currently the up is set for ...

thanks for the feedback - wiring could tweak it a bit i agree..however when i look at the effort to drop a dedicated cat5 to the NID in a 3 story house and when i see the drops during 'busy' time - the quality of the inside wire [i don't think] changes ???

bottom line - defeat congestion??
i run on speedtest in the range of 12XX dload on a 1.5mb "advertised" line.
my ISP is dnet.net, proxy off of verizon.......
when i do a speedtest for most of the day, late afternoon and evening i will get dloads down in the 400 - 800 K range........
??dloads of 12XX acceptable?? on a 1.5Mb line ...
