The only reason you need the phone line hooked up is for DTV to bill you for any PPVs you have bought through the receiver. Without plugging the phone line in, you can still buy movies/porn (whatever it is you like to watch) but the cards will only allow you to buy up to 25 movies. After that, your ...

Newegg would be great IF...

[rant]
I know alot of people like Newegg and everything but do they think they are kidding people with their horrendous shipping charges (on certain items)? I usually never buy from there cause I can generally always find it cheaper but when I did see that they have the Hitachi CM721FB in stock ...

If your hard drive(s) are on one IDE controller and the ROM is on the 2nd controller, it's possible that your second IDE controller is going bad. Or like YoS suggested, try switching out the cable.

If the above is true, just slap the rom onto the first IDE controller (same as main hard drive) as ...

I would think that the subject would be free shipping at newegg then. The price for the burner can generally be beaten elsewhere seeing that newegg is generally never the lowest.

To each his own I guess but this is more of a 'luke warm' deal rather than a hot one since quite a few places are now ...

Infinity isn't the best when it comes to mids but to some it does the job. I would highly suggest you listen to them before buying anything. Almost 99% of the time, your install will determine how well it sounds. If you are just getting speakers and no amp, I don't think you will see much difference ...

Yes, the focals are pricey but worth it. There are some others not quite expensive as those but I would figure out your budget first then decide on what's best for you as I'm sure you already know.

If you need an extra boost for a few games you play then it would make sense. If your games play fine or your system runs good as it is, there is no need other than trying to get a higher score in whatever benching program you use.
