Impressions of Sb

Post by Immortal »

It's not all that good... actually it's not good at all... it lags, it crashes and it bores the hell out of me...

feels like another level up and kill sort of thing to me... I haven't played it enuff so this is my first impressions... I have to hack the same crap over and over till I get good enuff so I can hack another bunch of crap over and over till I graduate to another type of creatures..

Most of the time I wander around the map don't know where to go.. meet an enemy gets clubbed then I lost everything and start over again...

Thinking of returning this game... too bad I've already paid for3 months of it... I guess I'll keep playing it then.. who knows.. it might actually turn out good if it stops lagging... and that I'm a lil more powerful

I agree. MMORPGs are a good idea, but the way they're done just seems to suck to me...I've found myself turning the game off after playing 10 or so minutes. Maybe I'm spoiled on the linear storytelling console games like Final Fantasy X.

these games all need a dark side, bunch of players that just do evil crap like kill and rob u, raid towns, steal wisdoms and artifacts that type of stuf but they totaly go to being good and the monster are to be the only bad ones, have players being good and evil would help to lessen thos that join and ruin the game for others cuz part of the game would be a solid defense agaisnt these players. have some monters loyal to the evil guilds/teams/players so that a high level player could command a group of them, and have some random townsppl or knights be able to be lead by the good then have a few different groups of nuetral enemies.

also when i get into a game like this i really dont care to worry about weapons breaking or feedign my player, doesnt need to be that real.

now i knwo some ppl like the realis of these but u have uo, shadowbane, eq for that, they need to apeal to us other style gamers.

you really have not seen anything until you hit 30+

the politics between the wars that is gong on the server right now is something yo cannot get in any other game

serioulsy levelling is the fatest in any other mopprg

i can get from 1-30 in a day, and that is only from about 3-4 hours of playing, you cannot do that in any other mmoprg without major powerlevlling

give it a shot, once you hit lvl 25-30, you will see the intriciacies of this game and how it all works ot

Right now the major war going on is between Lok-ri and Sol, and rumors are that Sol has allied with Lod, which is a bad move becuase veryone hates LoD on the server

Sol city will proabbly be the first to burn on the ground

immortal, i logged on my alt las tnight but i think you logged by the time i did sorry i missed you hopefully tonight i be on around 9 pm est

I only just started playing SB a week ago. I had been playing UO for the last four years and watched the as the game went down hill because of all the cry babys. SB has a nice feel to it and as you increase in levels you get into some good PVP.
All in all I like Shadowbane.

We are experiencing slow reboots on many of the servers this Holiday weekend. In case you get nervous, we have staff on hand to re-start servers that crash. Scorn in particular has been seeing some stability problems today, along with Chaos. Both of those servers are in the process of restarting. We will try and keep all of you updated this weekend if there are any new developments.

My favorite has always been UO. I beta tested every add on since the first release. I knew half the GM's on napa valley by name. They actually cleared tree's for me to place my large marble. And I had a beta account which gave me a few privelages.

I lived in Fel. I never had to be a bank sitting trammite because anything worth selling I posted on a uo sell forum. I was a pk to on certain occasions. Had a gm hider and fencer who scoped out fel dungeons. HOWEVER, When I ran into a noobie on fel territory. I immediately gated him to my large marble and HOOKED HIM UP!!! Because I wanted him to stay in fel instead of going to tram. It was awsome when I saw those people in a liche dungeon a few weeks later and they thanked me and all. I was a nice character and I probably made a lot of people stay with UO. So I guess nice players do make the game. Im still in contact with my partner I met when the game first started. I met him while mining in the cave right above britania. I was the 4th gm blacksmith on the napa valley shard (I think it was 4th).

I stopped playing because the routine got old and when UO2 fell through I thought it wise to look for something else.

Lineage is a boring game and everyone is an ass hole. Everquest is weird, I personally never liked it. AC is fun but gets old fast. DAOC is good but same as AC, gets old fast.

Now Galaxies is here...Im seeing this being my game for the next few years. Cant wait because beta 3 is really unstable. We just had a light saber test and the server crashed :D But it was fun while it lasted.

Dont judge all mmorpg's on a single game. Try them, you WILL run into one you really like!

This is my first ever mmorpg.... and probably last one... I mean it is rather fun to play.. .but it's not worth my money nor is it worth the effort..
