Ohio couple may have just the ticket for adoption
POSTED: 8:40 a.m. EST, November 14, 2006
CANTON, Ohio (AP) -- With fans scrambling to obtain tickets to Saturday's Michigan-Ohio State football game, a couple is auctioning off their seats to raise money to adopt a boy from Guatemala.
Ken and Kristie Sigler have season tickets in the closed end of Ohio Stadium, about 10 rows from the field. They have put the two tickets up for sale on eBay, hoping the payout helps defray the $12,500 cost to begin processing their adoption paperwork.
They set the minimum bid at $1,000, with an option to purchase the tickets directly for $1,500. No bids had been made as of early Tuesday.
At first, the couple thought it would be difficult for them to sell the tickets, but with adoption fees mounting -- costs total about $30,000, including the paperwork fee -- the decision became easier.
The top-ranked Buckeyes and second-ranked Wolverines are both undefeated, and the winner advances to the national championship game.
"It's just one day, one game, compared to changing this little boy's life with us," Kristie Sigler said.

A Buckeye fan, a Wolverine fan, a nun and a stunning blonde are riding on a train. Suddenly the train heads into a tunnel. A loud smack is heard and as the train rides out of the tunnel the Wolverine fan is rubbing his face. The nun thinks: "Serves him right for trying to grab the blonde." The blonde thinks: "Serves him right for trying to grab the nun." The Wolverine fan thinks: "The Buckeyes fan was probably trying to grab the blonde, missed her and grabbed the nun instead. Then she tried to smack him in the face and missed." The Buckeye fan thinks: "Next tunnel I'm going to smack that stupid Wolverine fan again."

Well, there are now yard signs, a lot like campaign signs, popping up talking about OSU fans being the most respectful, etc.Roody wrote:I tend to view the rivalry in a different manner also. If Ohio State beats Michigan then I will root for the Buckeyes to win it all unless of course they are playing USC.![]()
In any case, all the cars will be off the streets, towed if necessary.
No beer sold in bottles.
No couches outside.
Dumpsters emptied both Friday and Saturday.
And lots of police overtime.

Sad that it gets to that point.

Actually, it got a whole bunch better when Roody left town.
About 3-4 years ago they sent out a couple of undercovers with cameras, and the video they brought back was disgusting. The university decided enough was enough, and last year it was very calm after the Michigan game. There have been no issues this year, except for letters to the editor complaining that the no open container and underage drinking laws were being enforced a little too harshly.
On the other hand, the Athens/OU halloween party was as out of control as always.

GO MICHIGAN WOLVERINES!!!!
I can't stand OSU ever since the refs handed them the National Title against "The U" in the 2002 Bull$!t Bowl. I boycotted college football until they implemented instant replay after that game. If OSU would have won that game fair and square I would have given them the props they deserve, but that simply wasn't the case, even with bad calls going both ways, the most critical calls were against the U. OSU is now forever at the bottom of my list and I'll route for ANY team that plays against them.
