I run 800X600 on all my CRT's and 1024X768 on my LCD.
these old eyes like the 800x600 better and I changed all the colors and font size on my lcd so I can see it! LOL

The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.
1280*1024 . In conjunction with my rather cut down windows theme, ie miniscule scroll bars, titlebars, title fonts etc, I get lots of screen space. Screen space is directly proportional to e-penis size
1280x1024x85Hz @ iiyama LS902UT 19" CRT
What I don't get though.... monitors have an aspect ratio of 4:3. Hence 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, etc. Then why does the correct resolution for 1280 horizontal pixels (1280x960) look wrong compared to the 5:4 ratio of 1280x1024, which is much more common?!? I just don't get it.

I've always wondered the same thing.
