Maybe Matrox has a winner this time?The new Parhelia with 256 megs,AGP 8X and maybe 300mhz core clock......

They need to drop the multimonitor functions, beef up the performance and turn the result into a version of the Parhelia that is just meant for the enthusiast market.

What a stubborn f()cking company. Oh well, nothing we can do about their piss poor management. Never has a company's incompetence and lack of touch with the consumer been more apparent to me.

Not since the Ford - Firestone fiasco anyway.

Sounds a lot like a particular radeon card you can get now.?

I hope to see this card turn a lot of heads and maybe push matrox into an enthusiast market?

Even if it matches the 9700's performance, do you really think it will be able to beat a then $250-300 part when it costs $600???

Certainly not in the enthusiasts market and probably not in the professional market, since even the current Parhelia revision isn't selling well there.

They need a version without the damn triple head and dual DVI. A card that runs games beautifully on ONE monitor, so the price can come down to a competitive level.

ya if they dropped the triple head part the cost may come down some.
