A bunch of people were complaining to Phillip and the mods about him.

*cough*(Jerks)*cough*

He wasn't a bad kid. Just got the crap end of the stick, and bullied around.
So trade that typical for something colorful, and if it's crazy live a little crazy!

Don't be confused. What happened is that HL'er made remarks that people took and used out-of-context OR they took the wrong way, and flamed him. As he defended himself, he was blamed for starting the fight.

I guess once a person gets banned and the mods grace that person by letting that person back in, his/her's reputation wouldn't be the same.

Common courtesy could have been taken by a regular here...as he was! Unfortunetly he has chosen the path undriven by most, too bad for him!

This is going to be in very poor taste. But I'm a big fan of thread pairs, and I though it was funny.

Anywho, Halflifer got on my nerves some days, but seems as though he was calming down. although I did not witness his and terrances flame war, or some of the others that he has partaken in. Sucks he was banned, but it was the second time, and I'm sure he was warned, probably repeatedly.

Really, It is a shame to have all the tools...and not know how to use them!

He just needs eight weeks of basic training to solve his issues! HL'er, call your local recruiter.....NOW!

His dad's a Detroit police officer.

It's not a lack of guidance issue. That kid is just young and hot headed. That's all.

i don't see why people get upset at what someone else says to them online, and banning someone is wrong. quit banning people just because they say something that one person takes the wrong way.

It's a shame to see him go again....but from the few times I did see him get in "fights" with members of SG, that was uncalled for IMO, and he should of just took a step back and thought of his actions before he typed...

keep cool working at DQ HalfLifer... :D :)

Pfffftt...by those standards I should've been banned long ago. Of course, banning me would only cause me to find dozens of proxies and turn the forums into pure chaos. :p  :p

Halflifer wasn't that bad, a little confrontational and defensive but other than that he wasn't to bad.

I must admit that I do not have him into my favoured pile.. but I don't mind him.. he just says things sometimes without thinking

I used to do that too when I was his age... luckily I got away with it most of the time and I learnt...

as a man used to say.... a clever man learns from his own mistakes... a wise man learns from others..

Indy, or anyone, could you please PM me some idea of what happened?

I'm sorry to see him go too.

He annoyed the sh*t out of me and thought the world of himself, but is a good person nevertheless. I'd like to know what happened.

I never had anything bad with Him but, I think a lot of people see forums as being run along the lines of democracy but, they AINT.

This is a place where you can enjoy interaction but you MUST adhere to the rules on here about conduct. Common decency has a part of it too but, unfortunately, the same tenets found in every day life DONT apply always. :(

As someone said a while back after the SpeedForums people finally all got banned from here...

An online forum is like a persons home. In the case of SG, it's like Philips home as he pays for it all. Now, would you allow a group of freinds to walk into your home and allow them to stay while they are fighting, arguing, and just generally being rude to you and yours? I'm sure that no one would allow a perosn to remain in their home who is being rude and confontational with everyone else in that house which was the case with HalfLifer, at least in all his posts I had seen...
