Weird Stuff (speed question)

Got my cable back today (woot) and ran a test at DSLReports. My line gets split and I have not ran any tweaks. Oh and I am on Optimum Online with Windows XP.

Here what I got at 2:38 PM EST.

Test running..........
** Speed 433(down)/1024(up) kbps **
(At least 8 times faster than a 56k modem)
Finish.

Ran it again and I got basically the same ratio between up and down speeds. Is it just me or is that ratio messed up?

Umm, no it's not you, that is messed up. I would think OOL would have you flying faster then anyone.

Have you checked DSL reports for other speeds from your ISP in your zip code?

But doesnt the ratio between up and down speeds bother you?

Asked a friend who lives near me to check and he got basically the same speeds.

Have to ask elbob later.

If you havent already posted at DSLR (whats your name if you did?), download the 64mb file from ftp://ftp1.optonline.com/pub/, and tell us what the speed is about halfway. Also, run a tweak test. Which modem do you have? If possible, check the levels on it.
