Hi,
Can someone tell me how to fix this? After I googled how to fix it, I still could not.
When I google something like "Computer repair near me" I get results for a city that's 15 miles away instead of for this city.
I suppose I could always add my zip code to the search criteria.
Wrong Location in Google Search
Interesting... I guess it is locating the address of your internet provider, where their IPs are registered. It is usually meant for mobile devices where you share your GPS location with Google, but you can set a more exact location in the Chrome browser settings I suppose.

I almost always search by Zip Code. We live right next to the county line (Los Angeles / Orange) and if I plug in my real zip code I usually get Los Angeles County results. I almost always use the zip code for the adjacent city in Orange County and we get a better selection including places that are a lot closer to us.
I agree with that. I think their server is over in that other city.Philip wrote:Interesting... I guess it is locating the address of your internet provider, where their IPs are registered.
