Sounds similar to how those those hybrid drives that are already out work. Except now you can make your existing drive a hybrid setup.
I don't know the same things you don't know. :confused:

i would just get a SSD or 2 and be done with it, prices of SSD's are really coming down now, an example todays shell shocker...........

The advantage is...for people that need lots of storage. SSDs of decent capacity are still rather high in price..some people cannot justify that kind of luxury budget. This approach gives you a pretty good performance boost..for little cash...and you still get the storage of your primary spindle drive already in the system.
