Bioshock... great looking game (demo in this case)

Post by Faust »

d/l'd it, and i must say it's a great looking game, even on this rig's almost antiquated hardware (AM2 5600+, 7900GTX).

its a shooter thats a tad different from the normal FPSs around, but not so different youll be learning a new game genre. no idea if there is or will be a multiplayer, and the demo is pretty short (took maybe 30 minutes, and a good 5 mins of that was watching lead-ins, but the visuals were good enough to keep me from losing interest). only 1.5GB download. if ya have steam installed i recommend giving it a try.

after the first lead-in, the plane crash environment looks awsome.

i got about 3/4 of the way through it, then my steam account got hacked and i had to reload all my games, i never did save all my progress and haven't tried playing it since.

was pretty good game, kinda creepy in a good way for sure, but i felt the controls were kinda janky.

someday i will try it again.

ouch, hacked steam account. that kinda blows to say the least.

went ahead and picked up bioshock. @$19.99 it was cheap enough for me. like you said, for a FPS it is fairly immersive.

Bioshock is one of the games that I used to play at my friends place in his login name. He had got it but was lazy enough to play this game and always asked me to play. I loved playing this game so I used to play in his user name. I had a good time playing this game.
