CCleaner Problem

Post by Qui-Gon John »

When I run CCleaner, it wipes all my viewd links and shows them as if they have not been clicked.

It also knocks me out of any web sites I have to log into, like Speedguide, for example.

As far as I know, I have it set not to "clean" cookies or history for IE. But yet I lose these things.

Anyone know how I can set it not to lose these items?

I only use CCleaner when I exit all programs before rebooting my comp, which I do twice in 24 hours, to reset my RAM chips and for enhancing security. Thus I do not have the problem you face.

RELATED ISSUE!!!!!

I just installed SpeedUpMyPC3 and ran the optimization.

It wiped out everything related to IE

All web pages I log into, lost the stored information.
All links showed as if I had never clicked them.
All typed URL's in the ADDRESS line were GONE!

Does anyone know if this program can be configured not to do this?

If not, I'm uninstalling this program. These things I mentioned are more than a minor inconvenience to set up again, at least for me.

Thanks all!!!
