Shoulda seen what it did to my electric bill :eek:

I'll install it tonight. Work made me take it off the machines I had it running on here ....maybe I'll go under cover and slap it on again.

LOL! I changed my name actually.. but yes i do log on and off AIM very fast, us Canadians use MSN. On that note, only reason i haven't been folding is complacency reinstalling.

What name do you fold under? As long as you put in 15 for the team number they'll show up under speedguide as something lol

Understandable about the electric bill, especially if you fold with multiple PCs. Things to help cut down on that, you can run the console version and set teh CPU usage to 50% and see if that helps, or since your a dual core guy, run only one core, see if that helps keep it down. Core2 consumes less power than the X2 64s so that should help too.

Your work may not liek the cpu usage gong so high either, maybe just your work PC, while your there. But dont go getting yourself in trouble to run this. lol

Haven't been folding since I got to college until a few weeks ago. Started back up. Slow progress though, I turn my pc off when I don't use it.

I have been turning my pc's off when I am not on them, so that does not help. My last two light bills have been so high, I keep everything off when we are not here. Not to mention I have been installing different linux distros again. So lately I have not has an OS on my main system even long enough to even do anything with it.

And that unfortunately, is a fact for me at this time...way out in the boondocks here, and no cable or dsl available...however..I do not mind using the manual methods for the same results...still running six machines here with dualies! :)

Well as some of the members know i've been having alot of health promblems just find out it's all thyroid related ,so I've been just trying to take care of it. The tyroid with the stress levels lmao i was a wreck wile in school if the tyroid promblem would've got spotted ealier i would be alot better off. :rotfl:


All those who care i guess i'll try to be on more. :D

I tend to flit back and forth between SETI and folding......

Did some SETI, came to the fold, then did some SETI again....and now I`m back to the fold still under caveman (lowercase C) and team 15!

It`s all good! :thumb:

me, my desktop stays off mostly.

my Laptops run 24/7, one of them overheats and shuts off
my other laptop locks up a lot under load, I think it may be the HDD

no money to fix it, I even figured my Internet would be off by now...
