Windows Xp Professional X64

I have just got a computer that has a 64bit processor and want to know if the 64bit version of windows will work better for me than home edition. I maily use the internet and play games.

Nope. It'd be more of a headache probably to find drivers than anything else.

Drivers are getting much better but software still leaves a lot to be desired.

Ya I agree with you on that, still gonna be some missing for people but not too bad. The software is a bigger point.

Cuz if the software isnt made to use 64 bit processing, then its the same or even a bit worse than if it were on the 32bit XP.

I tried playing Diablo on mine and had it lock up and never run again on the pc. As to other uses, not too much out there that I've run across that uses the 64 bit architecture yet. Almost like when Apple brought out the Apple III and the Lisa, no software that could be run on them in native mode so nobody really bought them and they died an unnatural death. At least most 32 bit software will run on the 64 bit processor.

I've got a quite a bit that won't run at all on the 64 bit os. Doesn't matter, I'm moving to Nix.
