A Giggle

Post by minir »

Hi to All

As the Town received yet more rain and the flood waters kept rising, Joseph A very religious man wanted to prove his faith in God.

So, he went to the Town Square and sat on the Park Bench their, with the water rising up to his chest.

Joseph raised his eyes Heavenward & said unto the Lord " Lord i have been Your faithful servant all my life and have tried to lead and exemplary life devoted to You Lord. I ask that You show me Your love and save me from this flood that is ravishing our Town. "

As the water continued to rise a boat with his neighbours family came floating by.

The man in the boat said, "Hey, what are you doing Joseph? Get in my boat and I will save you."

At which time the man said that he had total faith in God and that He would not let him drown.

As the water neared his head, another boat came by. The man stopped and yelled to Joseph " Come get in my boat and i will save you Joseph.".

To which the near drowning man stated, "I have total faith in my God. He will not let me drown." So, the boat went away.

A makeshift raft came floating by and much to the chagrin of it's occupants, Joseph refused entry to the vessel. The boater was frantic, being that the water was lapping at Joseph's nose.

As the raft floated away, the water rose above Joseph's head and he drowned.

Walking around Heaven, Joseph was clearly confused & very disappointed in the Lord & called out " Lord why did you abandon me in my time of need ?. "

Then Joseph saw God approaching him.

Joseph spoke with anger in his voice " Lord, I had absolute faith in You. Why would You let me drown? "

" Schmuck " replied the Lord... I sent you three boats!!!"

Have a Great day :)

Hi JCOS

Not worth a damn JCOS, Thanks. ;)

I phoned home to the maintenance fella here and asked him to check my driveway and plow it if needed, before i left from Florida. I talked to him yesterday and he just laughed. He used the front-end loader to clear the drive and then swung into mt lawn to do the walkway as well. He nailed 2 shrubs along the way. He couldn't see them as he said there was 5ft of snow on the yard. He also hand-bombed the Porch and it almost killed him it was so deep.

When i got home i couldn't believe it, never saw that much snow in many years. I guess it got below Zero and stayed there and snowed daily. Brrr.!

Nice today though, +10, with rain coming tomorrow and the next few days.

Spring is on it's way i think. Me i'm staying inside till it does :D

Hope your doing ok their.

Take care & have a Good one

I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.
