Attention: Signature changes

Brent.. there IS a simple solution. IF members do not like the long signatures, add a VBB command that says:

If SigLines > n, then crop all <n

or something like that. THAT'S the good solution.

or, turn off the sigs in your user CP!!!

there are no simple solutions

you may like what you have proposed, and others may as well

but i gurentee you someone will not like it

We can't please everyone

Someone has to stand up and say how things are, and that's Philip

I'm still confused on how we are outvoted? Those people simply didnt vote.. its like in the presidenal election. if you dont vote... its simply that.. you didnt vote. Your vote doesnt simply goto a certian person or subject

I bet if we made a poll (not a bad idea) a MAJORITY would like to atleast increase the ammount to 10.

, but the simple fact is "PHILIP", owns the board, so "PHILIP" makes the rules...end of story! so why fuss and cry about it?

anyways, if many of you remember we were allowed to have pics in our sigs at one time, but then some members were abusing it by placing 640x480 pics in their sigs.

now some people are abusing the sig space with text. 5 lines in my opinion, can state a lot, even on a 800x600 screen resolution.

if you don't like the rules, you can always leave and make your own board, with your own rules.

Thank you Norm, for that insight. I never thought of myself as obnoxious, just annoying, rude, dumb, a moron, fool, freak, nerd, lazy, wild, irresponsible, and worthless.

If you care to insult kids, let's see what you adults have done to screw up society.

2.) Our 'democracy' is BS
3.) Our economy is unstable

mouse, mabye you and the mods should add something to that decision, mabye a line like:

(Note: "5 lines" = 5 lines when viewed in Internet Explorer at a resolution of 800*600 with the window maximized (not in full screen mode). Also any line return constitutes a line, whether it has text on it or not.)

Hey thats kinda what i said. CompGeek and I are right. If were gonna have this 5 line rule, we need to make sure it is FULLY understandable. Right now it is very questionable on if it even is 5 lines or not

fully understandable for sure, some people on this board will spend all night trying to find a loophole for any rule though

I don't think it's even about sigs anymore, it's about CONTROL.

Of course the admin. can do whatever they want to, it's THEIR board. If they want to keep things in shape they'll do what they feel is right, end of story.

And yet some people see it as a loss of control over their right to speech and space. Understandable, but there's nothing they can do about it, so why bother bitching? I'd like to have signature images restored just like anyone else, but do I argue with the mods about it? What's the point?

So no, I don't see the point in getting all red-faced about a 5 line sig limit.

Nothing to do with age macho I don't even know how old the guy I posted to is, but he acts like a 10 year old

So I treat him like one.
I have nothing against kids and you know it, it's not the age, it's the level of maturity, and respect they show to people who work hard on thier behalf (for free too)
I figured the guy was over 30 actually.

And the point is no matter how many people have posted to bitch about the changes, there is a far greater SILENT majority.
I haven't posted here in a month or more, but when i saw mouse being attacked by a few members, I just couldn't sit back and watch like the other mods here did. i had to speak up and take action to remind people what a good person mouse is, and how much she does for nothing on everyones behalf, and that mouse cannot make decisions here, she can only suggest them.

No hard feeling macho, I know I was out of line with the "kids are abnoxious" post, I was hoping to get this thread closed by it

I have nothing to lose, others who may want to speak up do have something to lose. I could care less if I am not allowed to post here anymore, but as long as I have that priveldge I WILL speak up and defend people like mouse who spend a lot of thier time to make this a good place for all members to come and learn.

I say to all those who want to disregard the policies laid down from the owners, and want to disregard what they have been asked to adhere to.....

us that disagree with this rule arent attacking the mods... we are attacking the rule itself, trying to get it changed.

Have you PM'd Philip yet, or are you just spouting off again for the attention?
You say you all love SG then show that love and accept the rules, or PM the owner and plead with him, leave mouse out of it, she can't do much anyway.
And someone other than myself should have come in and explained it long before I did, like brent for instance, he's been here a long time as a mod, and/or an Admin , but he likes to watch the fights and waits till things go too far before he responds.
mouse is the newest of the mods here, and it seems everyone lets her take all the flack. Well it's about time for some appologies to mouse, from a few people here, including some of the other mods.

If I were to ask mouse to close this thread, she probably would, but that would just open up another issue for her to be attacked, and I won't do that to mouse. I was hoping Brent would close this thread, like he closed or deleted my other posts a month or so ago when I tried to find out from him why he treats some members more equal than others. He allows some people here to say whatever they like but chastizes the innocents for responding to such flames.

Close this thread now too Brent, I know you're watching and having a riot out there, and let mouse take all the flack when it hits the fan.

I think it's about time I had a little heart to heart with Philip myself.

As i said before, and i think i speak for everybody else... WE AREN'T ATTACKING MOUSE. We are attacking the rule. I dont PM Philip about this issue because there is already a THREAD with 110 some odd posts in it. This should be enough to see that many arent happy with the rule just made

You guys wouldn't like me if I were a MOD. I woulda ended all this BS a long time ago. We had the pics in our sig, but peeps got greedy and that got cut off. We at least still have the option of having text, so lets not abuse that either, mmmmmmmmmk

A rule is a rule, if you don't like it, TOUGH, accept or go to another forum where you can have all the pics in the world in your sig or a million lines of text. Let's just stop makin such a big deal outta something so insignificant
