hey coon ass you need to try the steps i outlined if your download does not change call in and get the repush at tier2
then if no change call in have tier 2 trouble shoot the download since 70KB is the min on their network that they shoot for and you are under that call at the time when the problem is at its worst also
try all your machines directly into the modem
and try the default windows patch then a new speed patch reboot after installing each
if you do all that and support cant get the speeds up then try to get a tech out and if his laptop is under 70KB then @Home got a problem
if his laptop kicksass then YOU got a problem and it is time to bust out the windows disk :2cool:
destr0yr are my results bad ?
the ones above
that is mostly at night
i tired everything to get my speed back like it use to be.
i reformated and reinstalled windows so many times i lost count of how many times. Its not like its a problem for me reformating and reinstalling windows cause i do it all the time.
Ok here are some really good results at day time i get 10ms average on my gateway at night time i get around 182 to 230 ms.
It sounds like more people are getting on and they need to upgrade there hardward to handle the night.
hey coon ass if you really reformat and reinstall all the time and have the same problems
you need to try the tweeks for the download if they do not get you above the 70KB you need a tech out
as for the pings if they go up higher at busy times then you need to call in and have a ticket escalated to the noc
the download they should be able to fix
the high ping will take longer to fix
if the tech cannot get his laptop above 70KB or your machine then you need to ask for credit till it is resolved
as for the pings there are no guarantees there, but from what you say it sounds like the gateway is geting crowed at peak times and this could get worse before it gets better
