Okay, just posting some feedback here. Surfing fast, web pages loading quickly :) Haven't really tested downloading much, but I'll get to that right away. I'm going to test all the Rwins dan gave me, and see which gives me the best throughput. I just ran some speed tests, here are the results. (from pcpitstop.com) [DSL/Cable Modem Bandwidth Test] >Download Speed< Text Block Size 200 KB
Download Time 2860 ms
Receive Buffer 313632 bytes
Transmission Speed 559 Kb/s .. very impressed :) Upload Speed 82 Kb/s.. very close to cap.. Cap is 640kbps down/90 up. :) very nice, hopefully, the rwins I was provided with will increase that speed even more.. thanks again dan! :) I'll post more feed back later
::had to edit:: forgot to add the TCP/IP analyzer results...
TCP options string = 020405aa0103030301010402

MTU = 1490
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.

MSS = 1450
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1450, which is equal to MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 313632
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 39204
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
510400 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255200 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
127600 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63800 (MSS x 44)

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 5018.112 kbps (627.264 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

there ya go... sorry about that :rolleyes:

Hey Dan, or anyone else.. I posted a topic about PPPoe in the software forum, and someone posted a reply telling me to use RASPPPoE. He said it's one of the best PPPoe clients out there.. Just want your approval. :) Maybe we can work with this, unless enternet is our best option.. ?? Thanks again! :D

Transmission Speed 909 Kb/s... I just speed tested that from pcpitstop... At first I thought it was my cache, so I cleared it.. tested again and Transmission Speed 812 Kb/s... on a 640 kbps max? I dont know whats going on... but its hot :)

Oh stop Ok so know one cares. :) ehehehe
What you have right now in that adjusted and tweaked Enternet program is faster and more stable than RASPPPoE.. I personally like RASPPPoE but Iv done a compare on both with the Enternet program set at them settings above, and guess what.. you got 800+ on your line... Then prime time hit and generally lasts till 3 in the morning saturday and pickup where it left off at 3pm today(saturday)
If your getting 550 right now good I expected less knowing where you go up on the net bases on tracerts just be glad you have a low ping :) at 30ms and 50 average... :)

But if you want I can feel bad for you now.

:p

DAP is starting to show me suckiness... The IE download manager seems to be faster.. but anyway... I downloaded 2.33MB in 31 seconds, at a 77.2kb/sec transfer rate. That's pretty good, better than yesterday, when it took me 30 seconds to download 1.04 MB. Remember? Anyway, just giving you feedback. Dan, go on AIM, it's important, I mean if you dont wanna then you dont have to... :)

Hey Dan, should I change my MaxMTU to 1492? To get better throughput? Or am I getting the best throughput on 1490? :)

Anything on PPPoE from 1486 to 1492 is good I only had you set it down 2 because you had the original problem when winpoet was still on the machine with the veiw of the pic's not comming through..

New RWIN. This one seems to be fastest so far :)
