its detecting it full in the bios so I guess I'm good to go there...but I'm just trying to make sure I'm getting the full potential of the system.

I would reset bios removing the battery and then selecting both cpu ratio settings.

The following from their website.

"Q: CPU-Z reports my CPU speed below its stock frequency.

A: This is the effect of the CPU power reduction mechanism : C1E (Enhanced Halt State) and/or EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) for Intel CPUs, Cool'n'Quiet and or PowerNow! for AMD CPUs. Load your system and you will see the frequency increase to its nominal value."

Load my system with what and see?? That last sentence didn't make much sense?

i think he means put the cores under load, try prime to see if they all are working, should eliminate any speedstep deal when the CPU is working.

Try Folding again and see if it doesn't read correctly...

You asked what would load your system. It will definitely put it to 100%. Of course, I only have man boxes and run folding on them all 24/7, I can understand your reservations though... :D :rotfl:










JK dude! It is a choice that is up to the individual, but it most certainly will load your system...
