Well I can't uncoil them until my dad's here or free, so I can rewire them.

That's better still not the best I've had but if it's like that all the time it'll be awesome!

Your comp is tweaked to optimum but EMI may cause your speed to fluctuate, even during a gaming session.

One way to improve things without uncoiling the power cables is to turn power to those cable off (including to the comp and modem), disconnect the signal cable to the modem and uncoil it from the leg of the steel stand, then lay the signal cable along the wall to reach the bottom rear of your comp casing and place your modem there - away from that coil of power cables.

Dude I have to say I was a little skeptic about your EMI thingy, but today after reading through this thread I found the thing to blame was the modem cat5 cable being wrapped around the same metal leg as the power ones, that's all was at fault.

I just phoned my dad and tonight we should be cutting about 2 meters off it so that should speed it up more ;) .

Thank you :) .

I'll post again when I've done it.

Sorry for the late reply, been very busy with stuff. Mind you I couldn't do anything online fast but now I should be able to ;) .
