You sit here refreshing your browser every 3 seconds, frothing to foist blanket statements and your own "conspiracy theory" replies, but you never even TRY to empirically look at the other side's arguments. You're immediately in the right, condemning others for blindly believing what websites say when you engage in the same tunnel-vision approach.
You know, just because you may have to concede that the other side makes solid points doesn't mean you've abandoned your own beliefs. Try it some time, and you'll save your left-clickin' finger a little work.

Instead of realizing and admitting there is a major issue with terrorism, you rather misdirect and blame it on Israel. Something which alex jones would do.

i find it interesting how the conspiracy theorists and leftwing liberals in this thread have turned this thread into a bashing GH, instead of discussing the terrorist issue where these palestinians have issued all these threats.
It is the typical way of leftists way of dealing with things and you wonder why i hope a democrat does not win presidency in 2008.
no, we're responding to your typical responses ...you're not capable of understandingGhosthunter wrote:i find it interesting how the conspiracy theorists and leftwing liberals in this thread have turned this thread into a bashing GH, instead of discussing the terrorist issue where these palestinians have issued all these threats.

what questions relating to the original post? I answered UOD response.
he was the only one willing to actually discuss the issue instead of others such as yourself and burke derailing it like usual
GH, the more attention we pay to these people in the media, the more it legitimizes their cause....that's not to say that they don't have legitimate gripes, they do, they use an extremist methodology which diminishes their cause and rightfully so.
If the Israelis and Palestinians could elect leaders that would sit at the peace table, and if both sides were not constantly persuaded by the barrage of negative media, I think cooler heads would prevail. The first bump to get over is for each side to realize that security is dependent upon each side investing in the other.
As Megadeth put it...Peace sells, but who's buying? Peace isn't an attractive media commodity.
You asked me for solutions, well the solutions begin with taking a different posture from the one that has been prevalent in the region for the last decade which has been...kill them before they kill us. Obviously that doesn't work and never will.
Terrorism is the tool of the impoverished. If we raise the standard of living without stepping into the cultural values of others, I htink we can truly change the world for the better. This does not excuse the actions of those who have harmed us....but there will always be someone...always.
Look at what America was founded upon...DEFIANCE. Our strength lies in that. You can attack us, but you can't break us and stop us from doing good things for people that can't help themselves.
I really don't know what else to say.

Well I disagree and here why, one we can ignore all the hatred that comes out of these terrorists mouths, which is fine, the problem is many followers will not. Everyone ignored Hitler for years before WW2, and everyone thought it was propaganda and looked what happened, plus the terrorists are attacking and killing people it not like it just empty threats.UOD wrote:GH, the more attention we pay to these people in the media, the more it legitimizes their cause....that's not to say that they don't have legitimate gripes, they do, they use an extremist methodology which diminishes their cause and rightfully so.

Israel leaders IMO have given up way too much to try to attain peace when Palestinians leaders will not compromise or even follow their own truces at all. The deal Clinton was working to put together at camp david in 2000 was above and beyond Israel should have done and Arafat still refused the deal.
I am very disappointed with the current PM of Israel - Olmert. So are most of Israeli citizens as you can read Israeli news many are demanding he resign because he handled the war last year in Lebanon horribly and many other decisions he made. Did you know that Israel has been in what a 6 month peace truce with Hamas and yet there are still rockets flying in almost every single day and yet Israel has not retaliated? If someone was firing rockets at your doorstep in New Jersey I am sure you would not stand by without firing back while your family is in immediate danger.
UOD, on another note this is debate I like to have without the insults go flying by even though we disagree, thanks!
My viewpoint is that we are creating more followers. America doesn't create bad guys, but we do create conditions for them to flourish. Most terrorist recruits aren't very well off and they are promised alot in return for their service...we can compete with that and we should. We need to make the bad guys look less appealing. But right now, the bad guys are the heroes of the poor because they can stand up to the mighty US of A.Ghosthunter wrote:Well I disagree and here why, one we can ignore all the hatred that comes out of these terrorists mouths, which is fine, the problem is many followers will not. What is really sad is that alot of this is out of any government control...as I believe it lies mostly within the corporate realm. Greed is everywhere.
