As the article says ANYWAY, it wasn't just the Bible , it was any religious scriptures whatsoever. Surely a college is a place for a person to learn and think for his/herself and just because they are students they are also entitled to their beliefs and ideas. As the article ALSO says, they needed Reference material and this was a cheap way for them to gather it.
This project was partly to have fun on campus before finals, but also proclaim that we find religious text to be smut. To set pornography and religious texts as equal forms of smut. It was also a fund raiser to gain religious material in the name of our group (since this is our groups first semester, we didn't have any reference material). We didn't want this to be blown out of proportion into a Bibles for Porn, but religious scripture for porn. This includes the Qur'an, Torah, etc. Our original flyer might explain this better.
