Electoral votes are leaning towards Obama right now, heavily, 206 vs. 89 right now, I think Obama will be the next prez.

My county Obama won, but the rest of NC is still calculating.

In my Congressional district Ric Keller (R) lost to Alan Grayson.

I feel for Keller who is a good guy. I think he lost this as much because of the R next to his name as anything and that's a shame.

Apparently some Republican robo-calls attempted to scare cuban voters in Florida by telling them that Castro was supporting Obama. This according to Howard Fineman. It appears that did not work to this point.

Good thing is that it appears that the Dem's won't have complete control of Congress, which should keep things pretty balanced.

(CNN) — Two senior aides to John McCain see "no path to victory," given the night's results so far.

The two advisors, who were crunching numbers for the Republican contender, were responding to a question from CNN's Dana Bash, who has been covering the McCain campaign.

The aides asked not to named because the campaign is not commenting on internal discussions.

Three states that went Republican in 2004 have gone for Democrat Barack Obama, according to CNN projections — Iowa, New Mexico and Ohio.

Polls in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Hawaii close in less then 10 minutes. My prediction is Obama will officially win this election a few minutes after 11pm EST.

Had there not been so much bush hate I think McCain would have won it... Just the economy's condition along with energy prices made him look bad which caused a ripple down on McCain. I'm glad its over.. I hope we don't see any bragging comments or threads and we can get on with our normal arguments.

I hope Obama does a good job and we see this change he was talking about..but if I get taxed more than what I'm currently paying I'm going to be pissed.

I'm at least glad McCain didn't win. My friends and I were ready to go out in a blaze of glory if he did. Hopefully we'll get some of the rights we lost over the last eight years. If not there's still the hope for a pending war that will weed out much of the population.

Both their tax plans are out of kilter. We should all be paying more, not less.

I may never have grandkids..I'm thinking of my kid right now and how he's going to grow up in the next 4 years with high costs at the pump, food and whatever. You keep on thinking that far ahead for us and while your at it pay my share if you wish to pay more.

no but the prices of everything hasn't fallen down with it and is still causing issues with people's budgets...I see it all the time around this area. Father in law is a preacher and he works with a big food bank.. he talks about it all the time how things have really suffered cause of it.

I think of people now..near future cause what good is looking at 30years from now if someone can't make it beyond 3.

How can you afford to pay more taxes when you can't afford healthcare... I wish that I had a pair of those rose colored glasses...
