thank you .. i was pretty sure that i explained it that way with different words, but some people choose to keep up the insults and negativity.
how can you make that assumption and openly admit you have no clue about him? please do research, you might change your mind. you might not.

explain what is funny about this. to me, it is like saying, don't buy that lawnmower, although i have never had one of that type and never read any reviews on it, it is bad.

If you cant understand it by this page than thats troubling
Gixxer wrote:not troubling ... each has their own opinion, why some people get mad at each persons opinion is troubling as it does not hurt anybody whatsoever
He doesnt have to agree but with all thats been explained he should have an understanding of why people see it that way.

Oh I do have an understanding. Consider my last post a polite way of saying that some people on here are to obsessed with what Gixxer does in his spare time.

I never claimed that he didn't believe in what he preached, which is why I've stated multiple times that I am not familiar with his ministry, sorry for the misunderstanding. The point that I was trying to make is that IF he in fact didn't believe in what he preached, and you were aware of this, how could you honestly feel good about anything he says? I wasn't making any judgments about Olsteen, but you've made it pretty obvious that you don't care about the messenger, but the message, and you just can't separate the 2.

I'd agree with you if we posted a thread ...any thread that asked what he was doing in his spare time but when he posts it himself he's opening himself up to the responses he's getting......couple that with his irrational thought and rationalization that it doesn't matter what a guy believes in as long as what he's saying makes me feel good he's pretty much wide open for ridicule. If you associate that as being a fan then I guess I'm Bush's #1 fan too.
I don't give 2 shits about what he does in his spare time as he posts it up for all to read anyway.

not sure i said the first .. i dont post even close to my private life ... portions yes, but sometimes i have to get it out whether it be on here or somewhere else. i want to make clear though, when i do post my private life, i don't aske for ridicule and/or insults. a little enlightenment from different points of views maybe.

I must have missed where he said he didn't care what he believes. I gotta ask though what is wrong with him saying the guys sermon made him feel good?

Interesting point and it actually makes sense. From what I read, he took over his fathers ministry at a pretty young age, 30's or so, which may explain the manner in which he uses his youth and charm to attract people to christianity. As long as his intentions are honorable and true to the faith that he professes, then the people will continue to flock. Over the years, those ministers with less than honorable intentions have always found a way to expose themselves for the snakes that they really are and if Olsteen is in that same boat, I'd expect the same thing to happen to him. Call it divine intervention or whatever, but it's almost always the case.

Well thats a completely different statement, its one thing to be polite, but if your so polite that the meaning of your message isnt clear then its no good.

It's on the first page....maybe you need to read the crap you post before doing so.
thanks for your concern, but watching him on tv, the things he says and the way he says it makes sense to me. plastic or not, i figured it is worth a try. anything to stop the downward spiral.

Still...there is this axis of thread trollers that exist on SG.....who just love to pounce on pretty much everyone they disagree with.
Now...
I don't know how many times I've said it to all of you and to get the point across that disagreeing is ok. No problem on my end.
It's all the name calling and innuendo that get the axis of thread trollers, PM's and yellow cards from your's truely.
We can't have a discussion with out it blowing up?
