1. I think SM may very well be correct about Florida playing in Pasadena next year. That said the SEC is very tough and they thought Georgia would be in Miami this year.
2. I agree McCoy will break the record.
3. I think it's possible Michigan could get 8 wins next year. I feel more comfortable with the idea of them making it to a bowl game though then I am with them getting to 8.
4. The ACC showed great parity this year and I wouldn't argue that they will have alot of teams ranked. That said I don't see anyone in that league National Title worthy. There just isn't any real complete teams in the conference. It's really just a bunch of above average teams beating up on each other.
5. I hope Weis stays for awhile because he likely will continue his losing streak to USC.
Roody wrote:This has not been a good day or year for the ACC in bowl games. LSU is just killing Georgia Tech tonight. I actually thought the ACC would be good for more then 3 bowl wins with that many teams, but maybe not. Still they have a chance to get to .500 with 2 games tomorrow.
Georgia Tech wasn't ready for that game..they didn't even show up from what it looked like. The way they killed Georgia the other week they should have done the same against LSU..it wasn't the more skilled team that won it was the more lucky of a team that won who's chips all fell in the right spot to do it.

I disagree... most of them are matched up well with certain playing styles.... There are a few above average teams that will come on strong next year and yea one is VATech whom should be able to beat Alabama and start off high as long as a few other teams aren't over ranked like usual in the pre season.

I think LSU has more talent easily, but I think they underachieved this year and GT was a far better team this year imo. Still they got their butts kicked last night that's for sure.

I have to disagree with you about Alabama man. I think you guys will get beat on the way LSU beat on you guys. Alabama is just a much better team with a better coach. Not to mention they have far better offensive talent to go along with a crazy good defense. Still an upset would make things interesting that's for sure and having JPW graduate from Alabama this year helps. Never easy breaking in a new QB and playing a game of that caliber.

I Think VATech has a good chance with the depth changes coming next year... I'm so sure i'm making plans to go see it!
It was an expected, but unfortunate situation to see this.
There were large patches of empty seats in Dolphin Stadium, which wasn't altogether unexpected. Some tickets were available through online resale outlets in recent days -- even Thursday morning -- for $1. Plenty more were offered for well below face value, and the building looked a bit emptier after the Doobie Brothers finished their halftime set.
Event officials said 15,781 sold tickets were unused.
Uh no. Last night was their first BCS win. They lost the 2000 & 2005 Sugar Bowl and the 2008 Orange while winning last night's Orange Bowl.
The Sugar Bowl is currently a BCS Bowl game..and although it wasn't called a BCS Bowl game it still was and was won in 1995 so the information is correct in some respect. This one just kinda adds the "BCS" to the front of it which was well deserved and earned. I can't wait for next year and a possible undefeated season starting off with Alabama!

No Sava Va. Tech won their first BCS game last night. Your claims of otherwise is inaccurate. That would be like saying Michigan won the BCS National title in 1997 because they won the Rose Bowl. They did not win the BCS National Title.
Last night was in fact Va. Tech's first win. I was congratulating you man on getting that win.

lol hey you can view it that way all ya like...I know what they won and didn't win
Roody wrote:Not true. Like I stated before there was over 15,00 seats bought but no one was in the seats. The actual amount of people in the stands was 57,821.
hey I'm just reading numbers that I saw on the bowl page...I would have loved to have been there! Can't wait to the Alabama game!
Tickets bought = 73,602.
Event officials stated that 15,781 sold tickets were unused.
If you minus 73,602 from 15,781 there was as I stated 57,821 in attendance. That's a fact.
I'm just reading right off the page.. if it was wrong then ohh well but 57,821 is still pretty good. Most of the people interviewed in this area and those that I talked to that didn't go blamed it on money which yeah it costs alot to get their this year..otherwise it was New Years day..and most like myself would rather party at home with friends. They really need to keep games off Xmas eve and Newyears eve, new years.. its a shame to really take that away from players IMO. I'm going to really push for plans for the Georgia Dome next year by planning now.
"It doesn't get any better than this. BCS, Orange Bowl champs," cornerback Victor 'Macho' Harris said. "Being mentioned with teams like Texas and USC, it says a lot about our players, says a lot about coach Beamer. BCS — finally, we got one!"
Seems like its their first BCS since in 1996 the Sugar Bowl was still part of the Bowl Alliance and not the BCS.
Roody wrote:According to ESPN the Rose Bowl had 93,293 in attendance.
yeah and most were USC fans..I wonder why. 11miles away from their campus when poor Penn St had to come over 2300miles... They need to revise the bowl games to have them in a central/neutral site to both teams. It just isn't right for some teams.

i will say this. if the cincy team that has been playing as of late would have showed up they would have beat tech. cincy was horrible even by cincy standards and tech could not put them away.

I don't disagree with you that being close by helped. Of course USC and PSU have a bigger national appeal then Va. Tech and Cincy does also.
As for neutral sites that's fine by me. USC does just fine in OOC games on the road as we have seen under PC. Of course the Big 10 is as much to blame for putting themselves in that situation in the first place.

Yes and No. Cincy was horrible because Tech's defense helped make them horrible. Of course Tech couldn't put them away because their offense isn't very good. TT has some serious skills, but he is a work in progress.

Next year TT will shine as will most of the starters returning so I'm sure Tech will be in the top 10 pre season polls..which I hate to begin with but what can you do. I'd say if they can pull off the win against Alabama then its smooth sailing from then on out.
I would be more inclined to see them in the Top 15. That said once TT becomes a better passer he will really start to light things up for that team. There is no denying his ability to lead his team and to run. He's a bigtime talent. I honestly can't see them getting by Alabama, but I have no doubt they will make some serious noise in the ACC and if they play their cards right losing to Alabama might not hurt them anyway.
Personally I think Florida will be ranked #1 pre-season if Tebow comes back.

I don't think VATech will lose to Alabama..if I have that idea then I wouldn't be heading down to Georgia to watch it but watch it at home. TT will likely get more power behind his passing and not have to worry about screwing up and losing that QB job with Glennon gone now. Talk around campus from people I know told me they had a real battle at times about who would start. Alabama gets beat by Utah tonight and mark my word they will really look sad next year...I think I picked them to win but the more I think about it the more I want Utah to win...but if that happens the game won't look as hyped up as I would like to see it next season.
If Tebow is smart he will enter the draft...one game and one bad accident and he stands to lose alot of money not going to the NFL with a bad injury.
