yea i wanted to watch a movie on my comp and i have couple questions:
I have a 8mb vid card rite now...if i get a 64mb vid card will that help improve the quality of the move?
What do i need to connect my tv to my computer(So i can watch the movie through the tv screen and not my monitor)?

A 64mb card would help, but your prossessor also factors in as well. ATI and G-FORCE make cards with video outputs that can run to a tv monitor. They are not to expensive either.
I agree that the quality wont improve, unless you watch it on a TV. The movie WILL look much smoother on a TV.Originally posted by aagiants
no it prob wont. If u are watching a movie u downloaded frum kazaa or sumthin, it aint the computer, but the quality of what ur downloading. Most of the time the molvie is a guy takinga camera in a movie theater
As for that cam thing, if you know how to download, all the movies will have good quality. One key thing is to look for movies about 600MB. Cams are usually just 200-300.

nother question
the quality of the movie is pretty good, but only when its small....if i change to full screen the quality becomes worse. neway do u know any way to expand or to enlarge a movie or a music video and still keep the same quality or is it not possible. I know u can do this to like a picture or somthing, but im not sure about a movie.
go into display propertie by right cliking on your desktop
clik on the settings tab and adjust the pixels and the color to higher settings
for watching you movies on tv you should have a video card that has tv out an 8mb card is pretty crappy i would have a minimum 32mb card and when getting a new card make sure that you get the right type> either pci or agp.
I have found that tv out is not as good as regular tv
have you got a dvd player? in your system?

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous
sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box

Wouldnt that jsut make it smaller? Changing the resolution to a lower setting, lets the picture become bigger, with the same relative quality. A higher resolution requires more pixels to fill up the same space, making it worse quality to fill the screen.Originally posted by Randy

you want more pixels!
higher setting = higher resolution wich should= better picture quality try 1024 x 768 looks alot better , also get the 64mb card u will notice a huge difference! set your craphics as hiogh as they will go then run win media player and hit alt/enter tell me if you notice a difference!
