Cable modem on Win XP?
Cable modem on Win XP?
i'm going to buy a new computer soon with windows xp system. i read that your cable modem work work if you run on usb and if you upgrade to xp. is that only IF you upgrade from a previous version or is it safe for me to buy a win xp computer and use my cable modem? if not, can you tell me what i have to do to be able to use my cable modem? thanks.
If you're buying a new computer, just get one with a network card installed...they only add about $20 to $30 to the overall price, and it'll allow you to not have to worry about whether or not you have the correct usb drivers for your modem and xp (some don't have xp certified drivers yet).....
