Just watch out for doped up fastfood workers at 2 in the morning on 99 through Stockton near the Hammer Ln. on ramp...a guy speeding hit and killed a wienzitzle(sp.) worker as she had gotten high off her ass and drunk!

connecticut is tight as hell on speeding 100mph on a highway, here that would be like 350, not 50 in a school zone comes to 500 bucks with their system for it, and contruction zones are higher too!

Hi August. 150km on 100 is pretty bad. It's 6 points if not more. Dosn't he have to go to court for that ? Where did he get caught, which highway ? It is a pretty serious offence and it will hurt when he has to renew his insurance policy. I know all about that. I had suspended and been caught driving with suspended licence and many more ofences. What I do is send the ticket to court and make one of my friends show up the first time saying that something important came up and I couldnt make it in on time. If the cop shows up then u ask for another date and chances are they dont then the case gets dismissed. Second time the judge wont accept any excuses so he has to be there but cop may not show up second time and u can always make guilty plea deal with proscecutor. You just have to plea guilty not guilty with explanation. As long as u show respect to them not argue with them they are wiling to make a deal, for example from 150 to 130. Tell him to go to court . He is screwd anyways but can always get some kinda deal. There is always hope. It worked for me many times. ;) Also if he dont have the money right away for some reason all he has to do is ask judge for monthly payments of 80-100 dollars. They always agree to that also. I wish him luck.

P.S. One time I was doing 140 km on 403 in mississauga at 3 am and didnt see the cop under bridge (typical situation). I was only one on the road. As soon as I passed him I turned lights out and floored it trying to make it to the exit ramp lol. I passed first exit hopeing that he may get off on the first one looking for me.I had some speed advantage but he caught me 2 exits later on the end of the ramp. He didnt let me fool him. I was close hehe but he got me. He was even cool about it. In court I got a deal for 120 which saved me 3 points and 100 bucks. That day I also got red light ticket earlier. It was really shi1ty day for me hehe.

Wow, 100mph...

Sorry, but I feel no sympathy for your boyfriend. No disrespect. It's not like he made a little boo boo and dinged someones car or ran an amber light.

The guy was exceeding the speed limit in excess of 30-40% over, and recklessly endangering lives. I don't care what kind of engine your car has or how many RPM's it can get off the line. If you can't handle the power of a fast car responsibly...well, you shouldn't drive one.

All I think of when I hear crap like this is, "What if he lost control and hit someone, or caused a pile up on the highway, or if he lost control and flung his car into someone's house?"

Quite frankly, your boyfriend deserves what he gets, no matter how long you have to go without new jeans.

New jeans wouldn't fix a dead person had he lost control of the vehicle.

Twice in 2 of my friends car i have hit 100, with my friends dad we went 110. All were on 55mph roads. I have heard that down here that we are really light on speeding, and everyone does it, Usually I will go 10mph over the Speed Limit if im in a hurry but no more. I am scared to get a Speeding Ticket.
We have seen their kind before. They're the heirs of all the murderous ideologies of the 20th century. By sacrificing human life to serve their radical visions, by abandoning every value except the will to power, they follow in the path of fascism, Nazism and totalitarianism. And they will follow that path all the way to where it ends in history's unmarked grave of discarded lies.

Wht was the offence to where they could also impound the car and sell it at auction? wasn't that no registraation and insurance?

I totally agree with you there. He shouldn't be going that much over the speed limit, I don't care how late you are to something or whatever his reason is. Say you get in an accident because you were late and speeding, that's going to delay you a WHOLE bunch more...let alone something even worse that could happen.

You should be thankful that u'r bf didn't get in an accident and either seriously injure or kill himself or somone else, rather than worrying about new jeans.

He was in your car so it'll be on your record.
Make sure he pays the tkt or it'll be put on you to pay when you try to renew your license plate sticker.

Heh, when i first got my car, I used to be able to set the cruise on 120. I lived out in the sticks tho and a highway here at night (out east of indy by 40 miles where i used to live) is deserted, flat and straight. Nowadays i dont like going over 85 in a 65, but cops here are pretty leniente on freeway travel unless you are endangering others. Its not like CA here, unless its rush hour, you possibly have miles between you and another car with no homes within sight, only corn fields. Still, if you speed, you take a chance, have to be up to holding up your end of chances if they go bad. I dont bother rushing to work or from work anymore, its just not worth it. *SHRUG*
