Looking for some network help!

Post by Fatality »

hello all,

I have quite the dilemma, i am currently having huge network problems that we were experiencing 6 months ago. This is recent.

The problem is that i am a gamer, i play games frequently yet whenever someone simply just opens up a laptop in the house, the ping skyrockets from 20 - 50 ms all the way between 200 - 1000. No one is downloading, simply just surfing the internet. Laptops are all macbook airs, and 1 desktop that is wired using a ethernet adapter.

Thanks please help! :)

What type of NAT router are you using for your wireless/wired connections ? Some older routers that don't support multiple streams well (without MiMo and WMM QoS) may cause issues. Also, it is possible that simply the electromagnetic interference between the wireless radio and another device in close proximity to it has an effect as well (move modem/router a couple of feet apart).
