CPU Fan error on bootup

Post by blokie55 »

Hi There,
I have a desk top PC running a ASUSP5KPL-CM MB and just recently on restarting my pc I get a "CPU FAN error" pres F1 to continue. I have checked the fan, all is good, cleaned out the heatsink and still get the error.
Using speedfan 4.45 my cpu is running around 45C to 50C and pc runs fine.
Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I put the temp sensor clear platic with what looks like copper, and folded it unbder the cpu chassis, crushed it, i did...I get no "10", No "35", just "--", cool.
